Terms of use

Version 1.0 — September 2026. Draft prepared for review by a lawyer before the site accepts payments.

1. Who we are

This site is published by NETLAND SNC, a partnership registered in Italy (Turin), VAT number to be shown here, contact address to be shown here. Under the Digital Services Act this address is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities, and communications are accepted in Italian and English.

We are not a bank, a broker, an investment firm, a fund manager or a financial adviser. We are not authorised or supervised by Consob, by the Bank of Italy or by any other financial authority, and we are not enrolled in the register of financial advisers.

2. What this service is, and what it is not

Master of Yield is an educational research tool about European income funds. It publishes fund data, scores, screeners, model portfolios, backtests, simulations and projections.

Nothing here is investment advice or a personal recommendation. We do not know your knowledge and experience, your financial situation, your objectives or your risk tolerance, and nothing on this site is assessed for suitability or appropriateness for you or for anyone. No content constitutes a solicitation, an offer, or an inducement to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument, nor an "investment recommendation" or "investment research" produced for distribution.

The model portfolios are hypothetical simulations run on historical data. They are not a record of real trades, not a managed product you can subscribe to, and not a signal service. They are published so that a method can be studied and checked, and they should be used as a starting point for your own research.

Where our content mentions a specific fund, it does so as an object of study, not as a suggestion to invest in it. We have no relationship with the issuers, receive no payment from them, and hold no position we disclose to you. If that ever changes, we will say so on the page concerned.

3. Risk warning

Investing involves risk, including the total loss of the amount invested. High distribution yields are often a sign of high risk, and some funds pay income by returning your own capital, which erodes the value of your holding. Option-income products can change or suspend distributions at any time. Currency movements can add to or subtract from returns. Past performance, whether real or simulated, is not a reliable indicator of future results. Any decision you take is yours alone; consider taking advice from a qualified professional before acting.

4. Data and accuracy

Data comes from issuers, market data providers and open datasets, is collected automatically and is not independently verified. Figures may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. We give no warranty as to accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and you should always check figures with the fund provider before acting. Our methodology and its known limitations are described on the site and in the wiki, and we may refine both over time, which changes past results.

5. Accounts

Some features require an account. You must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox: sign-in links sent to it give access to your account. One account is personal to one user; sharing it or reselling access is not allowed. You may delete your account at any time, and we may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

6. Subscriptions, prices and payment

Pro is a subscription to software features, never to advice. Prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT is added at checkout at the rate of your country of residence, as required by EU rules on electronically supplied services. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never receive or store your card details.

The monthly plan renews every month and the yearly plan every year, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account: cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues to the end of the period already paid. We will notify you by email before any price change, which will only apply from your next renewal, and you may cancel before then.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer resident in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. For digital services this right ends once the service has been fully provided, if you asked for it to start immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. At checkout you will be asked to make that choice explicitly. If you did not waive it, and you withdraw within 14 days, you pay only for the part of the service already used. Write to our contact address to withdraw; a model withdrawal form is available on request.

The 7-day trial, where offered, is free and requires no payment until it ends; you can cancel during the trial without being charged.

8. Conformity of the service

We must supply the service as described here and keep it in conformity for the duration of the subscription, as required by EU rules on digital content and services. If a feature does not work as described, tell us: we will fix it within a reasonable time, and if we cannot, you are entitled to a proportionate reduction or to end the contract and receive a refund of the part not provided. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, outages at our suppliers and force majeure can interrupt the service.

9. Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own research and copy small extracts with attribution. You may not scrape it automatically, resell or redistribute the data, republish our scores, rankings or model portfolios as your own, present our content as advice to third parties, or attempt to disrupt the service. Fund names, index names and trademarks belong to their owners.

10. Our liability

We are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for death or personal injury, without limitation; nothing in these terms excludes the mandatory rights you have as a consumer. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for investment losses: decisions taken using this site are yours.

11. Complaints and disputes

Write to our contact address first: we answer complaints within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you may turn to the competent consumer dispute bodies in your country of residence, or to the courts. These terms are governed by Italian law, with the courts of Turin having jurisdiction for business users; if you are a consumer, you may also sue, and can only be sued, in the courts of your country of residence, and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer rules.

12. Changes

We may change these terms, the features and the prices. Material changes are announced on the site and, for subscribers, by email at least 30 days in advance; if you do not accept them, you can cancel before they take effect. The current version is always published here with its date.

Important information. Master of Yield is an independent research tool. All content on this site, including fund data, screeners, scores, model portfolios and backtests, is provided for information and education only. Nothing here is investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, nor a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument. We are not a broker, a bank or an authorised investment adviser, and we have no knowledge of your personal circumstances. Any investment decision you make is yours alone: consult a qualified adviser before acting.

Our approach. Our model portfolios follow a purely quantitative, rules-based method focused on income. Funds are selected, ranked and rotated by statistical criteria applied mechanically: price erosion since inception, sustainability of distributions, dividend growth, yield and total return. No discretionary judgement or view on individual companies or markets is involved, and the same rules apply to every fund.

About the backtests. Portfolio results are hypothetical simulations run on historical data, not records of real trades or of any real account. Among other simplifications, they assume every fund could be bought and sold at its month-end price with no spread, commission or market impact; they show figures before tax unless you set your own tax profile under "Taxes", where you choose your country and can adjust every rate and the commission your broker charges per trade — those figures are an estimate, not a tax calculation; and they convert every amount to euro at the daily exchange rate. The fund universe only contains products that exist today, so funds that closed in the past are missing, which tends to flatter results. Many funds have short histories, so some results cover only a few years of a largely rising market. Rules may be refined over time and each refinement is applied to the full history, so past results can change. Past or simulated performance does not guarantee future results, and every investment can lose value, including the capital invested.

About the data. Data is collected from publicly available open sources and third-party providers and is not independently verified. No warranty is given as to its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Always check figures with the fund provider before acting. Fund reference data (expense ratio, fund size, domicile) is completed with the EU ETF Universe dataset by Danimoth, used under the CC BY 4.0 licence: danimoth.com/dataset.
